My quick hitters:
  • I'm currently working on something. Don't worry, you guys will get to see time to come. =)
  • Why is everyone leaving to Australia?? Sheesh.
  • I'll take this opportunity to blog about my previous outing. Correction: One of my previous outings.
I believe it was last Thursday. I met up with Steph, Lena and Wei Pyng for Steph's farewell lunch as she was heading back to Aussie. AUSSIE......B-O-R-I-N-G!

We ate at
Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar @ BSC

They had interesting place mats which Steph and I ended up arguing about which lines the cutleries ought to be placed on. Yes la...we are very 'bo liao'.

Ice Chocolate

Calvin, I bet you've never tried the Ice Chocolate here before cause it is by far THE BEST. =)

Wei Pyng, Lena, Steph and Me

Steph and I
  • Wednesday night I went out with Calvin and he brought me to TTDI Plaza.
Pretty cool, eh?

It's a definitely a nice place to chill out.

Here's where we ate: It's like the All Stars Cafe in Mid Valley (not that I've ever eaten there before), but similar concept I suppose. It's nice and cosy.

Calvin enjoying the fries.
  • Today, I went to see Zong in Ikano during his break and he made me this
Signature Hot Chocolate

The barista

and his obnoxious friend.

It's good to know that Starbucks is giving back to society.

Me & Zong
  • On my way home from Ikano, I spotted this
Our very new Proton Saga!

Ok's quite nice wert. (Eh, support la our Malaysian car!)

Look a little closer though...

Holding Up

I'll try to be happy for you...

but the only way I can is to not care.

And so I won't.

p/s: I don't know how long I can.

That's My Philosophy

I've learnt that we never should depend on anyone to make you happy.

It is after all, YOUR life.

Hence, it is your responsibility to take care of your own life.

Don't stand around and hope for Happiness to cross your path...make it happen for yourself.

When you don't depend on others, you don't have expectations, then you won't get disappointed.

That's MY philosophy...and I'm gonna live by it.

Of Tour Guiding and Chauffeuring

Sorry for the lack of updates...been really busy last week.

I had to take on a job that doesn't pay. Nyeh.

I became a tour guide. Though probably not a very good one, given my very limited knowledge of KL. But at least I know my way around PJ.

The job?

1 word.

But nonetheless, it was still fun.

My cousins from Australia are around, so I had to take them out...EVERY DAY. Chauffeuring them up and down, here and there, around and about. They are such shopaholics!

It's great to have my cousins around but on the down side, I've been eating so much! I should not fail to mention the amount of food we eat is always, ALWAYS too much. I reckon I would break the weighing scale if I were to weigh myself now. Thus, I will save my mum the trouble of getting a new one by laying off the scale until I feel reasonably thin less fat again.

p/s: We'll be going to Pangkor Island in less than a week! It's times like these when my gym membership comes in handy.

pp/s: From last year till now, I'm still needing to lose the same amount of kilos...which ultimately means I'm NOT LOSING WEIGHT! Feck.

My Journey is Just Beginning

Mother-Daughter Day Out

I finally met up with Ms Siow yesterday...a church friend whom I've not seen for close to a year.

We went to the Curve and had lunch at Little Penang Cafe. It was great catching up, cracking lame jokes and reminiscing. But soon, I had to leave as I had a mother-daughter day out with Tiffy Mommy.

So off I went to pick Tiff up and we headed down to Mid Valley to see Pau. He is working at Starbucks and made Tiff & I complimentary drinks. Though he got caught...and might face a disciplinary action. Sorry Pau. After much bitching and gossiping, Pau had to run. So, Tiff and I left MV and headed elsewhere. I started driving aimlessly on the road as we had no idea where to go next. "Drive to where your heart desires," clichéd Tiff. "I've a feeling we're gonna end up in some mall in PJ," I replied. And true enough, we ended up going to the Curve.

It was dinner time, and Tiff suggested Little Penang Cafe. I gave her my 'seriously?' look and she could guess I had just eaten there that afternoon. As we both weren't feeling very hungry, I suggested we grab a small bite at The Apartment. We both shared the Strawberry Peach Pavlova dessert. It was an uneasy eat as we gained unwanted stares from the many perverted foreign workers. But nonetheless, dessert was good.

Feeling down and lazy, Tiff thought it'll be good to do something randomly fun to cheer up our moods. I almost choked on my water when she said 'Let's bowl!' Tiffany Toh - queen of all queens...bowling?? Yes, exactly. Imagine. So my reaction is perfectly acceptable.

Despite protesting in fear that 'Mommy' will break her her bones, we bowled.
Setting an example

Daughter see, daughter do.

Round 1:

Ju 1 - 0 Tiff

Unsatisfied with the score, Tiff wanted revenge. So we played another game.

Don't ask how I got that nick.

'Mommy' dearest

Round 2:

'Mommy' shows how it's done.

In fairness, Tiff didn't get a strike in the first frame. She got a spare but the system got a bit screwed up. Which means, she should only have received 10 points. Now, let's do some mental calculation. 105 - 9 = 96. Blargh. She still wins. But only marginally. Fine. I'll give you this win Tiffy, but I want a rematch!

As we were coming down the escalator, we passed a snooker/foos centre.
Tiff spontaneously suggested we foos. Oblivious to the fact that Tiff used to foos often back when she was studying at Taylors, I agreed thinking I could thrash her. Oh how wrong I was.

She whipped my ass. Blargh!

New Year's Dinner @ Densy's Place

I've lots of long overdue posts. And some I think are way too overdue to publish. So I'll just pick the more recent ones to blog about.

Mich, Jenny, Dee, Nush & I were invited over to have New Year's dinner @ Densy Darling's place.

And we had a steamboat dinner! Tee hee.
Oh, the scrumptious food!

Dinner was absolutely yummy-licious!

The many pictures we took.

Thanks Densy (and your parents especially), for the lovely dinner!

Taking The Plunge

The absence of light in my room paints an abyss.

Nyctophobic yet I am not in fear.

I am numb.

Unable to understand the way I feel.

I need a shrink.

To The Friends I Hold Dear

Grant me this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you.

To be surrounded by your company,

To be assured of your support,

To be touched by your friendship,

I am blessed.

How could I ever ask for more?

Having you, my dear friends, in my life, uplifts my spirit,

To get me through my darkest days.

I am clinging on to all hope,

And I will pray, with all my heart,

That we never will part.

I love you, all.

p/s: So far, we are...still close.

Blessed New Year

"Here's to the bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old; here's to the things that are yet to come, and to the memories that we hold." Anonymous

Happy 2008, everyone.

Love, Ju
